8-Bit John started working for a design agency on the Wirral, UK and they were undergoing a new brand design due to becoming an external agency rather than an in-house agency. Although employed as a web designer, I decided to get involved and came up with a few ideas of which, helped form the new logo design for the company.
In this design it was meant to represent one single line that created an r and a 4. It also represented the concept of the ‘whole’ 360 service with a loop in the middle. The two dots were added to not only give the logo a character like appearance but also to represent the close bond of the two directors of the company and their playful nature.
On further development of adding colour I chose vibrant green, giving the agency a vibrant appearance and the 4 an almost cactus like appearance. It was my thought that the cactus could become a mascot and a full character depending upon the time of year. So for example, at Christmas it could wear a Christmas hat and be striped white and red and on valentines it could incorporate hearts and such like.
